Purpose of This Resource
Texas agencies maintain different parts of a custody and release history. The Wood County Sheriff’s Office keeps local jail and bond records. The Texas Department of Criminal Justice manages state-prison information, while the Parole Division and local Community Supervision and Corrections Department handle distinct forms of supervision. Federal releases follow the Bureau of Prisons system. This site brings together links, request routes, and plain explanations for those separate records. It does not combine them into a new official record.
Resources Collected Here
The site is organized around the question a reader is trying to answer and the agency most likely to hold the answer.
- The home page provides the full released-person search path and Wood County release-record request steps.
- Focused pages explain projected release dates, VINELink checks, and parole and probation.
- Separate facility pages identify the Wood County jail and the Clyde M. Johnston Unit, with contacts and custody-specific release routes.
- Official portal directions show how jail, bond, court, and state corrections records serve different needs.
- Records guidance explains how to ask the responsible office for a release record or booking photograph.
Limits of Our Role
Wood County Released Inmates is privately operated. It is not connected with the Wood County Sheriff’s Office, any jail, TDCJ, a court, or another government agency. We cannot make or confirm an official custody decision.
- We cannot release, detain, or transfer a person.
- We cannot post a bond, arrange a visit, or move funds.
- We cannot give legal advice or interpret a court order for a reader.
- We cannot promise that an address, fee, phone number, or portal remains unchanged.
Only the agency holding the record can confirm custody, charges, release, transfer, or discharge.
Third-Party Search Partners
Some search boxes are supplied by outside providers. Those companies control their own results, terms, and prices. If a visitor follows a tool to a paid signup, this site may receive a referral fee. That support helps keep the reference pages available without giving this site control over a partner’s data or service.
