For each candidate record, compare the booking identifier, jail event, bond or court event, and reported custody change. Then request the Sheriff’s maintained book-out record when the public view is unclear. Texas VINE and IVSS can report an event, but they are agency-fed notice tools rather than certified historical release registers.
Request Wood County Three-Day Book-Outs
The Wood County Sheriff Open Records process is the direct fallback. State the exact date and time range. Ask for existing jail-register or booking records that show releases or transfers within it. TDCJ’s public search includes only people currently incarcerated in TDCJ and is at least 24 hours old. It does not preserve a “Released” result for former prisoners. A missing TDCJ name therefore cannot fill a Wood County three-day list. Request the correct TDCJ release or discharge record instead.
